Dr. Steve Cohen
Instructor
Steve M. Cohen, Ed.D., is President and the managing partner of the Labor Management Advisory Group and HR Solutions On-Call located in the Kansas City Metro area. Dr. Cohen has his Doctorate in Educational and Industrial Psychology, his Masters in Public Administration, and his Bachelors in Speech communications and human relations. He also went to DePaul University Law School’s Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Program where he became a certified mediator. He has a Certificate in Health Care Labor Relations from the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania. He has 15 years experience as a hospital administrator, nursing home administrator, physician clinic practices, and retirement center CEO and an additional 25 years experience as a management consultant. His consultancy consists of working with for profit organizations and not for profit agencies. Steve manages difficult personnel situations like conducting examinations of allegations of misbehavior such as mis management or sexual harassment matters, terminations, and employee / employer conflicts. He also manages & mediates partner to partner conflicts as well as family dynamics within the business setting. Additionally he works in turn around, interim, and startup business situations.
He conducts management training, sets up human resources systems like crisis plans, job descriptions, performance appraisals, policy manuals, and conducting wage & salary surveys and setting up compensation plans. He provides litigation support and acts as an expert witness. He has published three books entitled: Mess Management: Lessons from a Corporate Hitman , Ministry Mess Management: Solving Leadership Failures and From Bullying to Sexual Violence: Protecting Students while at School. The first book is for business owners and managers providing insights into dealing with personnel messes as well as their regulatory and legal requirements. The second is for those who lead ministry organizations. The third is for parents worried about their kids while they are at school.
Lidia Young, LSCSW

Lidia Young, LSCSW, is a psychotherapist who has been in private practice for over 25 years. Both of her degrees are in social work. She received her MSW from the University of Kansas and her BSW from the State University of New York at Buffalo. She has worked with families and individuals to help them overcome life challenges and thrive. Her career has touched many diverse populations and she has a passion for sharing information that empowers people to grow.
Lidia is the President of ReThink Leadership Now and works with executives and teams to help them unlock their unique genius so they can fulfill the vision of their organizations. She helps leaders create conscious business cultures that support success through collaboration and innovation.
Lidia lives in the Kansas City area and has two adult daughters.
Sean Moore
Principal/Instructor
Sean Moore is a successful business owner who partners with state and public agencies to facilitate lifelong relationships between children and their caregivers. After spending nearly a decade working in social services, Sean knows what truly connects people to lifelong change, and it’s seeking out the heart of the problem and then working with families to change for the better. Sean has worked as a Residential Care Case Worker, Foster Care Case Manager, Children’s Division Investigator, Intensive In Home Specialist, and current as a Parent Aide/Educator contracted with the state.
Sean holds a dual BS in psychology and criminal justice from Southwest Baptist University.
Sean is also the Founder/Owner of Missouri Family Restoration Services.
Carly Fox, LCSW CMC RYT
Instructor
Carly is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Certified Care Manager (CMC), and Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT200) who has been privileged to work in the field of aging for a decade and a half. She holds a Masters in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Maryland-Baltimore (2004) and a Bachelors in English from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
She coordinated the research center of the late Gene D. Cohen MD PhD, The George Washington University Center on Aging, Health, and Humanities (cahh.gwu.edu), which was where she first studied creativity and aging, and became wholly enamored of the capacities and potentials of aging people (which we all are).
She helps people awaken their potential, solve difficult problems, integrate change and loss, and live in the fullness of their being.
During her childhood Carly's dad was a county nursing home administrator, and she spent her preschool years at the home befriending the residents. She is also presently a parent, child, partner, musician, maker, dancer, graduate school instructor, and insatiable student in the school of life.
